Are your rentals family-friendly?

Absolutely.  A majority of our return customers are families!  We work hard to keep a community-feel throughout our rentals and plenty of included shared amenities mean plenty of fun!

Can I launch my boat?

The Fair Haven boat launch is located nearby and we have a marina right onsite where our guests can park their boats during their stay. Docking for guests is available for $15/day (week rates available as well). Sodus Bay is excellent for waterskiing and swimming, but if you plan to fish, be sure to follow local fishing regulations.

What is the availability?

Our cottages and Victorian house are available to rent in-season, which is April through October, although we take reservations starting at the beginning of the year.  Rental options include daily, weekly monthly and seasonal when available. We fill up fast, so be sure to call in advance!

Reservations are recommended especially during prime weekends in the summer. Our season is April through October. Prime dates are filling up fast for the upcoming season – call now to check availability and to book!

What is there to do?

All of our rentals are a short walk from Sodus Bay on Lake Ontario. Enjoy beautiful views of the water and take a swim at our beachfront.  Bring your boat along to go fishing, waterskiing or tubing further out in the lake.  We have a basketball course and other amenities, and don't forget to bring some firewood to enjoy a campfire and s'mores!

What's nearby?

Nearby is Fair Haven State Park, the second largest state park in the Finger Lakes region. It offers a beautiful sandy beach on Lake Ontario and amazing sand bluffs. Just a short drive away is the Sterling Nature Center, which offers hiking, nature trails, and bird watching. On weekends during July and August, you will want to check out the Sterling Renaissance Festival!

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, small, quiet pets are allowed in the cottages! Pet owners must clean up after their pets both inside and outside using the provided ”doggie bags”. Sorry, pets are not allowed in the main house.

What are the Check-In and Check-Out times?

Check-in is at 2 pm and Check-out is at 10 am.

What do we need to bring?

You will need to bring your own towels and linens if you are staying in the cottages. The cottages do have kitchen utensils supplied for your use.  If you are staying in the main house, then linens and towels are provided. You will also want to bring firewood and charcoal if you wish to use our grill and fire pits.

Do you have a pool?

No, we do not have a pool, but the bay provides great swimming opportunities. We have a small beach for sunbathers and swimmers and a ladder for deep-water swimming off of our main dock.

Yes, our rental options  include daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal when available  You'll need to call much farther in advance to inquire about a long-term stay!

What happens if we cancel our reservation or change plans?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations may be made with a full refund of the deposit less $20.00, 30 days in advance of the arrival date for cottages and 14 days in advance of the arrival date for the main house. There are no refunds for early departures or late cancellations. We adhere to this policy.
